Splashing, running around, singing along, barbecuing our own meals and make their own rooms,, wow our kids truly did many jobs that made themselves proud! VERY IMPRESSIVE KS2.  I am sure tomorrow will be another day to look forward to!! ,, .

Everyone is safe and we are ready take rock and roll for DAY 3!
Well done for all the JEJU KS2 kids and the teachers!

Day 2 Jeju Trip 2016

Today was a very active and fun day. We began with a fantastic buffet breakfast that catered for everyone's gastronomic desires. From breakfast, it was to the rooms to prepare for the day. A short bus trip later, and we were at the Chocolate Museum. We started by snacking on the lawn, with snacks provided by our resident heroine, Ms. Charlotte. The Museum also provided us with free samples of their chocolate, which didn't last long!
Once we entered the museum, we felt as though we had entered an alternate reality. A life size chocolate Spiderman stood next to small ceramic bells; Santa Clauses stood around a fake fireplace just past the history of chocolate making from the Aztec Empire to present day. We wandered around the halls until it was time to begin our chocolate making experience.
We began by putting on our chef's hat and apron. Then we melted the chocolate and poured it carefully into chocolate piping bags. We then cut the ends off the bags and piped the still warm contents into moulds. The chocolate then went into the fridge to harden and we started cleaning up. When the alarm finally sounded, and the chocolate was solid, we were given boxes and carefully placed them in. We were then given a certificate saying that we had made the chocolate ourselves.
From here, it was another short bus trip to the beach. Although the weather was not perfect, we weren't deterred. We began our beach adventure with a light lunch, we sat in the cool breeze, watching the surfers and eating our sandwiches. Afterwards, we went into the water. Originally told to stay at ankle depth, we soon realised that the water was calm and so we moved in a little further. This very quickly led to children and teachers splashing each other and having the time of our lives.
We eventually exited the water and played some beach games. We changed into our dry clothes but soon realised that we had overstayed our time on the beach. We decided it was time to return to the hotel, which was probably the best decision as some of the children had forgotten to bring dry clothes to change into.
We got back to the hotel and showered. We played some games and relaxed for a little while before boarding the bus once more for our final destination of the day... the barbecue restaurant.
The restaurant was waiting for us, prepared with fish and meat to feed our army. We had a great time cooking the food for the children on the barbecue. The children enjoyed retelling stories from their adventure so far.
After the children had eaten their weight in barbecue food, we headed outside and played some final music games. The children also enjoyed watching the black pigs in the garden.
Finally, the bus brought us back to the hotel. The children had a busy night showering, packing and organising their rooms in preparation for our early departure in the morning.
This is a brief account  of what has happened today...
And as for all the other stories? As they say... what happens on Jeju stays on Jeju!! (or you could always ask your children).

3 Days and 2 Nights in Jeju for KS2!

Jeju seemed to be a bit a grey when we arrived but it didn't stop us from having fun!
The activities were enjoyable and the children were great at following instructions. Not only are the children learning great team work but also earning loads of golden cups for their amazing behaviour. The treasure hunt in miniature land will be their final activity in Jeju. I hope this trip will last as one of the most valuable memories in their childhood. Thank you KS2 and the teachers for being such a lovely group to travel with.

Jeju is Lots of Fun

I wish every day was beach day because we got to push each other into the water and I think Mr. Dougal had great fun in the beach because he was pushing everyone into the water. I also loved the Chocolate Factory because I got to eat lots of yummy chocolate. After the beach we went to the hotel because we were all sanded up so we washed. The after that we ate dinner; it was delicious. Lillian, who kept on saying embedded clause, was eating crazily.

Jeju

My favourite part was the beach because everyone got very wet and the teachers even came in. Mr. Dougal was playing with everyone in the water and we were trying to push him under but we couldn't because he was too strong. Mr. Dougal lost his ring but I found it in the waves. Another one of my favourite parts was the maze because it was very confusing but fun to win. I liked the barbecue place for dinner because it was very fun and it had pigs in the garden and we played a game afterwards in the garden. I liked the Chocolate Factory because I made chocolate.

Jeju Trip

I like the beach that was very clean. I played with water in the salty sea. The black pig was very yummy and cute. I liked the Chocolate factory because it smelt good and made the chocolate.

My Awesome Trip

The pizza was the best pizza I've ever had. I love my group, we are the "Kool Kats", but you can call us .... KKs. The shampoo smells really nice. I liked the part where Ms. Aisling said that we were only allowed to go into the water to our ankles but then we ended up covered in water.

Travelling in Jeju

The maze park was very interesting and I was very frightened that I would lose lots of people but it was quite fun! When I got to the beach I wanted to be clean,  but I got dirty and so were my friends but I enjoyed it a lot. Finally, we ate the pork and it was melting in my mouth so I enjoyed it a lot!

Jeju is quiet

I like that the cave was so big and was all made of lava. I loved how it had so much countryside and all the grass and hills and countryside stuff. I liked how the maze looked from above but it was very complicated. I managed to get out with help.

School Trip to Jeju

I liked the cave because it was so cool that it was made out of lava. The maze would have been easy if we looked at the map but we raced and didn't look at the map and took a long time to get to the exit, but we still got 5 gold cups. We went to the barbecue restaurant and we played a music game and I won!

Ashley's Report

I got 5 gold cups from the maze because I was the third group to finish. The lava cave was bumpy because the lava went through it when it happened. I found a little orange shell at the beach and I got wet because Ms. Aisling splashed me.

The Awesome Trip

The beach was awesome and we got sand everywhere. At the Chocolate Factory we made lots of different chocolate and lots of different shapes. Last but not least, we went to a barbecue and ate awesome, delicious food!

Jeju trip

First we went to the maze park. I liked that because there was a maze runner and we ran for something like 30 minutes. We found our way out.
Today we went to the Chocolate Factory and we made chocolate. It was easy to make the chocolate and I found out how to make chocolate.
I enjoyed the lava cave. We learned how the cave was made and learned about lots of other volcanoes.

Fun Times

I liked when we lost the others in the maze. Daniel K was so much fun that my head hurts from laughing. We went to the Chocolate Museum and we made chocolate. We went to the beach and in the beach we splashed the water on people and it was fun.

Jeju trip

My favourite one was the maze because we were splitting up and getting back together again and the stamps.
The coldest place I went was in the underground cave and it was slippery but I enjoyed it because it was quite fun.
Today I liked the beach because I got wet everywhere.

Jeju 2016 Trip

I liked the maze because we split up and got back together again at the end.
I liked the lava tubes because it gave me a feeling that the lava actually formed a lot more than we just know.
I liked the chocolate factory because I got to make chocolate.

Today's Jeju

I like the sea because it was cold. I liked the barbecue because it was yummy.

Day 2 Yumin

The bus ride in the morning was fun and loud because everybody was singing over each other. At the chocolate museum we saw lots of toys from the 70s but we also got to make some chocolate. The sand on the beach was sticky and annoying but it was still fun because we could play in the water. The bus ride to the hotel was fun. Because we were together we had a good time.

It was the Best Day

I liked the breakfast, it was good but I didn't like the Kimchi because it was weird.
Today, the ocean was really good and I was playing, it was lots of fun. My clothes were covered in sand, it felt really weird.

It's Always Fun to be with Friends

This mornings breakfast was great and I ate lots of fruit. It was so good, I didn't want to stop eating.
At the beach, I forgot to bring my change of clothes so I got really wet but I had lots of fun.
At the hotel, we were playing but Noa wanted to show us a magic trick and he said that there was one card but we didn't know and really there was two cards. He was trying to hide the cards in his bag. It was very funny.

Day 2 AbdurRohman

When we went to the chocolate factory, I hoped the Chocolate factory fun would never end.
After that, we went to the beach, which was called Joongmun beach, where we had a lot of fun.
It is very hard to choose the best part of the day because everything was really fun.

Day 2 Jason

Today we went to the chocolate factory and made 12 chocolates. Inside the museum there were many interesting things.
Next we went to the beach. We did water fight and we dug a huge hole in the sand. Then we played duck, duck, goose and number game too.

Day 2 Ian Kang

The second day first we went to Chocolate factory. We made chocolate in there.
Next we went to the beach and we dug a big hole and we put the water in there.
Next we went to the hotel and we had a shower.
It was my second day in Jeju. First I went to the Chocolate Factory.
In there I made chocolate.
Next I ate a sandwich then I played in the beach. I played duck duck goose, sand race and played the number game.
My favourite was playing on the beach.

Replaying  a scene from Titanic after an equally epic lunch.

Relaxing with a smoothie after a tough morning.

Group photo outside the lava tunnels

Exploring the features of the lava tube.

 Homeward bound...

Heading towards the light (and the heat).

 I know where we are...
Challenging times in the maze.

If we can't find it together...

Lets find others who can help.

An A-maze-ing day
The day started off as we had hoped. Excitement tingled in the air as we readied to board the buses. We left on time and made good progress to the airport. When we arrived, it was the usual - check-in, baggage check, passport control and then the inevitable waiting...

It was so, so, so fun when we went to the airport because we were so excited to go on the plane. - Briana

We took this opportunity to enjoy our snack and relax before boarding. When it was finally time, we eagerly lined up and entered the belly of the beast... all the way to the back. We sat down, swapped seats, buckled in and then flew our way out of Seoul and into Jeju.

On the airplane it was fun because there were lots of clouds and the airplane was going up and down - Jason

The flight was so fast, that it was hard to believe we had left Seoul in the first place. The beautiful views that met us as we arrived showed that we had not only left a bustling city, but entered a paradise.

Our first stop was for a delicious pizza lunch overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the sights and smells of being in such an unspoilt location. Then it was off to see some amazing volcano tubes. These were massive tubes that lava had cut through the rock. It was a welcome cold relief from the heat of the day! Some of the children were confused by the water dripping on our heads in a tunnel, so we explained that the rock was porous and the water was actually coming from the surface. They all really enjoyed looking at the different layers which had been formed by the lava.

The lava tubes were very interesting, cold and a little scary - Anica

I liked the volcano cave where the lava was moving for a long time - David

In the caves our shoes got wet but we still enjoyed walking in them - Yumin

From there it was off to the maze. The children were challenged to race around a very confusing course trying to find stamps and reach the end. Despite the many dramas and the many wrong turns, all of the children ended up where they should have been... the end.

The maze activity was so fun - Lillian

I like the maze because we were split up and then found everyone - Mingyu and Daniel K.

We ended the day with a lovely buffet at our hotel, which was followed by showers, diary entries, down time and then, finally it was time for lights out and the teachers could relax.

Nothing will stop us from having fun - AbdurRohman
